COMPULSORY TURKISH LANGUAGE I-II COURSE EXEMPTION EXAM

(For all Faculties and Vocational School Students Enrolled in 2025)

Turkish Language I-II courses are compulsory in all departments of our university's faculties and vocational schools. An exemption exam will be administered to students admitted in 2025 who wish to be exempt from this course. Students who receive a sufficient score on the exam will not take this course.

The exam is graded out of 100 (one hundred). Students who score CC 60 (sixty) or higher are exempt from Turkish Language I-II courses. The score received by students replaces the grade for the exempted courses and is included in the graduation grade point average. The score obtained from the exam will also be valid for the required courses. Students who cannot be exempt from Turkish Language I and II courses by scoring below 60 points on the same exam are required to take these courses through the distance education system.

During the exemption exam, our students will be responsible for all topics covered in Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II: Definition of Language, Relationship of Language, Culture, and Thought, World Languages ​​and Their Classification, Historical Development of Turkish, Historical Development of Turkish Literature, Phonetics, Morphology, Vocabulary, Syntax, Spelling Rules, Punctuation, Expression Problems, Expression Forms, Ways to Develop Thought, Poetry and Its Characteristics, Types of Written Expression, Written Expression (Pattern Writing), Types of Oral Expression, and Scientific Writing Techniques.

Taking the exam is not mandatory; students who wish to take it should submit an application to the dean's office of their faculty or the directorate of their vocational school with the attached petition.

Application Dates: September 15-23, 2025

Exam Date: Wednesday, September 24, 2025

Time: 10:00

Location: Each student will take the exam on the campus of the faculty or vocational school to which they are registered.
